The Art of Serving: A ceramic platter workshop

A Ceramic Platter Workshop

There is something meaningful about serving food on a piece made by your own hands.

Join me in my studio on Thursday, November 5th at 6:30 PM for The Art of Serving, a hands-on ceramic workshop where you’ll create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind serving platter designed for gathering around the table.

We’ll begin with a slab of clay and explore form, proportion, texture, and thoughtful details as I guide you through the process of handbuilding your platter. You’ll have the freedom to make it your own—organic and imperfect, simple and refined, or somewhere in between.  This is a larger platter and will take more clay than other workshops, hence the price reflects the clay and the kiln space.

No previous clay experience is necessary. This workshop is about slowing down, working with your hands, and experiencing the creative flow that happens when we give ourselves permission to simply make.

After the workshop, I’ll carefully dry, fire, glaze, and fire your piece again. Your finished platter will be ready for you to bring home prior to Thanksgiving and use for gatherings, celebrations, and everyday meals for years to come.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

• All clay and materials
