Anatomy of a Story

The Anatomy of a Story is a layered mixed-media work composed of fragments of history, texture, and handwork. Book pages, sewing on paper, hand-painted ceramic tiles, leather, burlap, pressed rice paper, and ceramic elements come together to create a richly tactile surface. The piece is a compilation of the materials and processes DeNai Jones is most drawn to—clay, fiber, and the quiet beauty of handmade marks. Each layer invites the viewer to slow down and spend time with the work, discovering small details and stories revealed through texture, form, and material.  This piece is one of a kind and ready to ship..
