January 24th at 4PM: Delft Inspired Mini Pie Plate Painting Workshop with DeNai Jones
This workshop is inspired by DeNai’s recent trip to Amsterdam, where she explored traditional Delftware—also known as Delft Blue—the iconic blue-and-white tin-glazed pottery that originated in 17th-century Delft. Influenced by imported Chinese porcelain, Dutch potters developed their own version using earthenware coated in a white tin glaze, creating the perfect canvas for cobalt blue decoration.
Space is limited to 12 participants, and the workshop fee includes all materials, supplies, and a guided group painting experience. Guests are welcome to bring snacks and sips to enjoy while they paint.
During the workshop each participant will receive a handmade, pre-fired ceramic plate crafted by DeNai Jones, guided instruction and paints included. You will be guided in painting decorative borders along the plate’s rim and complete a central motif—such as a serene landscape, a floral composition, or a stylized pattern.
Completed pieces will be fired and available for pickup 2–3 weeks after the workshop. Minimum age requirement, 12 years of age.
